The FAQ says there are 3 different adaptors: http://www.raisonance.com/Forum/punbb/viewtopic.php?id=2449 . This now seems to be out of date and longer seems to be true! I've just received an RLink kit, and it came with 3 adaptors: JTAG-uPSD ADP ICC-ST7 and SWIM-STM8 JTAG-SWD There is no JTAG-ARM. The documentation still refers to JTAG-ARM, and makes no mention of the JTAG-SWD; in fact, I can't find any reference to it anywhere on the Raisonance site. I'm guessing that the JTAG-SWD must replace the JTAG-ARM for use with STM32 - but it has two jumpers, and no indication of how they need to be set for use with an STM32. |
Hi,
The JTAG-SWD indeed replaces the JTAG-ARM but will also allow SWD in the future.
For now, you should place both jumpers in the "JTAG" position, as the software does not handle SWD yet.
In fact they should already be set correctly from when you received them, if you haven't unplugged them. So you don't need to change anything.
Later, you will have the choice to use either JTAG or SWD, as STM32 allows to connect using both protocols.
Best Regards,
Vincent
Hmm... someone slipped-up by shipping these things before the documentation was ready, eh?! Surely it could at least have been mentioned on the website?! Anyhow, yes; the jumpers did happen to be in the correct position - but how could I know that without any documentation to confirm it?! For the record, here is the JTAG-SWD adaptor with the jumpers set for JTAG mode: See also: http://www.raisonance.com/Forum/punbb/viewtopic.php?id=2520
Hi,
I will update the doc about that for the next release of RIDE.
If you don't mind, I'll use your picture. That will save me 10 minutes looking for the camera. ;)
Is it OK for you?
Best Regards,
Vincent
That's fine - I can let you have a higher-resolution one, if you like?
Hi,
Thanks for the picture. (and for telling us that this point was missing in the doc)
I don't need a higher-resolution version; In fact I even had to reduce the resolution of the one you posted for the pdf file not to be too large.
Best Regards,
Vincent
Oh yes, I remember - I didn't adjust the resolution for posting; I just increased the JPEG compression...!
Hello.Please give an answer.
The RXLink software is already support SWD interface?
Yes
Hello.Please give an answer.
And how do I connect STM32 through JTAG adapter? Where to get these pinouts? Why not make a photo showing the pins and signals?
