Hi,
There is no known incompatibility of this exe with Win7.
Have you checked that you are using the latest version of the software? (both Ride7 and RKit-STM8)
When the process stops, do you get an error message? (which one?)
Does the Erase work if the STM8 is already erased? (using your XP PC)
Is the flash erased after the failure of the operation? (program it using XP, erase using Win7, blank-check using XP)
Have you tried other procedures? (Proram, Blank-Check, ...) Do they work?
Do you have a lot of other USB devices plugged on this PC? (USB is a serial protocol and the bandwidth must be shared between all the USB devices connected to the PC...)
Best Regards,
Vincent
I try to answer to every point:
>Have you checked that you are using the latest version of the software? (both Ride7 and RKit-STM8)
Yes: Raid7 is 7.30.10.0159 with patch 0169
STM8 Rkit:2.32.10.0307
> When the process stops, do you get an error message? (which one?)
No message, it become always slower and at last it stop (after some minutes). I see the progress bar advance of 3-4 steps, then stops.
>Does the Erase work if the STM8 is already erased? (using your XP PC)
No, the behavior is the same
>Is the flash erased after the failure of the operation? (program it using XP, erase using Win7, blank-check using XP)
only a part of, i take a dump and only about the 20% are blank (filled with FF)
>Have you tried other procedures? (Proram, Blank-Check, ...) Do they work?
tryed P and the slow program (i don't remember the letter), it exit immediately with ok but without program the flash
>Do you have a lot of other USB devices plugged on this PC? (USB is a serial protocol and the bandwidth must be shared between all the USB devices connected to the PC...)
No, i remove all other device and rebooted the PC. nothing change.
I forgot to say that the µ is a STM8152C6 and that the Cortex_prg.exe program works fine on the same machine and with the same debugger but via SWD module (obviously) over a STM32F103CBT6 µ
