Q: What are the newlib-nano enhancements ?

A: You should use "less" memory than before.

• Optimization levels 3 or 2 now really optimize for speed, as they were supposed to do before but did not really, and they might now produce larger code than before.
• For maximum code size optimization there is now a "size" optimization level.
