Hi all The first chip I had to hand was the 32F103C6T6 which I am currently using for product development. I can program it and run the code through Ride7 with no problems, however if I use Rflasher the device fails verify at the same address every time - on my work PC at 0x08001000 and on my home machine at 0x0800011C. I tried using cortex_pgm.exe from the command line and have the same problem. I also notice that the Rflasher program often reports incorrect RAM for this device - 1800h bytes instead of 2800h. These results have been obtained with three different target boards. I assumed that since the hardware was purchased from Farnell that it was an older version - a belief supported by the Rflasher instructions being for Ride6 - so I tried the latest version in the download pages. This looks nothing like any other version that I have seen so far and bears no similarity to the instructions that are supplied with it, although the instructions do look like those that should have come on the original CDROM. For a production department it would not be practical to use Ride7 as the programming environment. The main reason for switching to this programmer is that it seems to be able to protect the 32F103 devices which is on our 'must have' list of requirements. Thanks Demon |

The original problem looks like one that has been solved in the latest version. (or the one before, maybe) So as you guessed, updating the software should solve it.
Now, I don't understand what you mean by this sentence:

Please confirm that you have downloaded (and installed) both the RIDE7 kit and the ARM kit from our website when you tried to update. From what I understand, my guess is that you upgraded one of the kits but not the other.

Yes your are right, it now works fine with the STM32F103C6T6, 72F561K9 and 72F324J4. The 324BJ4 however does not work. I have started another thread for this.
