There is a new version of the 8051-Toolchain in the download section. With the toolchain versions before there was always an information about the changes and improvements available. This is a very valuable information. Will it be available for BN747-8051 as well? Kind regards Michael |
Hello Michael,
I am in the process of updating the website. You will have these informations very soon. Here is a first list that applies to 8051, ST7 and ARM families (I may have forgotten things):
- RFlasher for STM32. (Note that only RFlasher supports STM32, not Ride6. You'll need Ride7 for STM32 development)
- New devices (STR91xFx47, STR91xFx46, STM32F101x, ST7Lite4M, ST7LiteU0x ...)
- Faster STR7x programmation.
- STRx Debug limitation for standard RLink increased to 32K RAM or FLASH instead of 16K RAM only.
- Better handling of STR7 protection.
- REva v3 documentation.
- Handle upgrade of standard or starter RLink to RLink-PRO using the website (it means you don't need to send us back your RLink if you want to upgrade it)
About specific 8051 family, there have been a few bug-fixes in the toolchain and some others in RIDE, but I don't have a complete list right now.
regards,
Lionel
Hello Lionel,
is this information for the 8051 toolchain available, now?
I am especially interested in improvements/bugfixes of the code generation tools.
Kind regards
Michael
