I had read a another post 'Firmware Error' and a got the same message
"This version only handles Rlink's with firmware versions up to 0.0.255".

I only get the correct version or other operations once. The busy led stays ON and
after that it's impossible to do successfully operations and the message is displayed all times.
I need to repeat this sequence, "disconnect and reconnect the RLink usb cable" to succeed with next operation but only once.

I'am running XP in a virtualbox but i had several other USB tools that are working.
So, is this a possible bug or is there a simple solution for this.
