I got following error message while did ST72324J4T6 In-Circuit Debugging (ICD) by using STX-RLINK under RIDE(BN747-ST):
Wrong device detected:
Mismatch of the PID.
PID read:082
PID expected:815
Please check target device seleciton,Power and Connections.
while did Read or Blank Check ST72324J4T6 by using STX-RLINK under RFLASHER(BN747-ST),I got following error message:
Wrong device detected:
Mismatch of the PID.
PID read:082
PID expected:821
Please check target device seleciton,Power and Connections.
But,I can be programmed and read under STVP(4.0.0.0).
STX-RLINK serial Number:dngstd04000445
Can you tell me what is the solution to this problem ?
Is there a patch to solve this ?

Thank you!

Hi,

Your chip might be a prototype or something. Please tell me everything that is written on the chip, or send a picture of it to

We will also need more information on your system. Please fill this form:

Hi,

There is some In-Circuit-Debugging with the ST72F324, but it is very limited: breakpoints are static and not dynamic, STOP feature needs some configuration from you to work, etc. See the "Getting Started ST7" document for more information. ST recommends to use the ST72F324B instead, that has a debug module. (and will probably be available longer)

I have contacted ST to see if your parts are prototypes. I should have an answer tomorrow.

Best Regards,

Vincent

Hello,
these devices have been produced in 2003, then are 4 years old....
It is not recommended to make new designs with these devices but prefered 324b which are much better for debug.
Best regards
