I have an appliance manager manufactured by Whirlpool Corporation. We can successfully program the board using the old ST720PB programming board. Attempting to program with RFlasher, unable to load ICP into ram. With STV7, appears to be working but all FF's are read from a valid device.

The device is properly registered and is functional in an Windows XP, SP3 environment.

The serial number of the linker is Rlink-STX is dngSTD000010587.

The firmware revison is 0.0.3

The target processor si ST7234BJ6.

The version of RFlasher is 7.02.0001

Hi,

We will need more information for helping you. Please fill this form in:
http://www.raisonance.com/Forum/punbb/viewtopic.php?id=2231

The 'Unable to load ICP' error is often related to reset circuitry. (big capa, ...) So we will probably need you to send us the schematic of the board, especially the part containing the CPU's power, clock and reset circuit, and of course the connection between RLink and the ST7 CPU.

Best Regards,

Vincent

Hi,

Thanks for the information.

I received your schematic, which looks fine. The usual traps have been avoided. You might just want to try to remove the C46 capa on RST, and to short-circuit D15, to see if it makes a difference.

In your schematic, the device is a ST72F324J4, but in the answers to the form, you say that it's a ST72F324BJ6. (I guess the double 'B' was a typo, as there is no ST72F324BBJ6) Which one are you really using? The 'B' and the '6' make a big difference. You must be sure to select in Ride the same device that is really connected.

Also, your version of Ride is not the latest. Some corrections concerning the ST72F324xx devices have been made in the latest release, and that might explain the problem. Please download and install the new versions of the two (or more) kits that you are using from this page:
http://www.raisonance.com/download/index.php
Remember you must update both the Ride and STM8-ST7 kits. (at least)

Best Regards,

Vincent

The device is a ST72F324BJ6. I've removed C46 and jumpered around D15. This has no effect. This board has successfully been programmed using STVP version 2.0.0. The selection for is ST25F324X6. The programmer is a ST7MDT20J-EPB. It functions fine. Either program fails to work with R-Link and its associated adaptor. This is now starting to impact production. Do you want me to send you a board for your troubleshooting?

Hi,

Have you tried to update Ride to the latest version?
Have you tried to use RLink with STVP? (make sure you have the latest version)

I don't know the "ST25F324X6" I assume you mistyped "ST72F324X6"???
If yes, then you should better look for "ST25F324BX6". the 'B' makes a big difference.

Of course you can send the board to us, but I will be out of office starting this evening until the 5th of January, and my colleagues who remain here will not be able to solve this very specific issue. Below is our shipping address.

Best Regards,

Vincent
