I am using STVD7 with RLINK and getting following error message while trying to go to debug mode-

"gdi-error [40701]: option bytes read error: not complemented; please use a programmer"

Please suggest. I am able to use the programmer.

Hi,

This message means that your option bytes are programmed with an invalid value.

You should be able to erase them or program them with a valid value using STVP or RFlasher, and then you should not have the message in STVD any more.

I hope it helps.

Best Regards,

Vincent

Dear Vincent,
I tried every combination with STVP7 programmer. but now I am getting following error-

Emulator reset (usb://usb)...
** Connection error (usb://usb): swim error [30101]: rlink connection error

And Still I am able to program the device using STVP7.

Hi,

Please make sure that you close STVP before trying to use STVD, and vice-versa.

Please tell us the complete name of your target CPU. We will need this to investigate further.

Please also check on the ST website that you are using the latest version of the software.

Best Regards,

Vincent
