Hi,
I have R-link which was used for ST7 and STM32 projects. Now I want to explore STM8S devices.

Is it possible just make a connection between existing Rlink and STM8S sample? How?
How to get compiler for STM8S?

Or I must buy a new starter kit? Please, tell "No" :)

Thanks a lot
GODsDOG

Surfing on the site, I've found compiler, but how to connect, is still actual.

Hi GODsDOG

Please find below some answers about how to connect.

You just actually need to make connection to the STM8s as long as your software version is
enough recent.

Please find below the schematic of RLink adaptor:

So I would say a lot of possibilities:
1. Make your own connection
2. Ordering a new RLink which will contain the new adaptor
3. ordering STM8S daughter board if you already had a REva
etc...

Thank you!

Hm...
But link "ADP ICC-ST7 and SWIM-STM8 version 2.1" sends instead referenced "ftp://raisonance.com/pub/forum/RLink_ADPs/ADP_ST7_STM8_V2_1.pdf" to home page.
And searching for this file does not help.
I think new generation must be better, or?

Hi

I am not sure I understand!
The link ftp://raisonance.com/pub/forum/RLink_ADPs/ADP_ST7_STM8_V2_1.pdf is working for me.
Are you saying this link is broken?

Also this link point to the schematic of the latest version of the adaptor.
