How do I connect the stm8l chip to the evaluation device you are selling? Does it plug in to it somehow?

Hi Chris,

Can you tell us more about the "chip" and the "evaluation device" that you are referring to? We sell more than one hundred different "chips" and "devices" so it is difficult to help you without this information.

I bought the EVAL DEV KIT FOR STM8L101. I hope that will have the software and hardware to help me learn the chip and develop my application.

Thanks,
Chris

It's generally best to confirm that any product meets your requirements before you part with any money...

Hi,

The RLink is provided with a STM8 adapter that features the standard SWIM connector defined by ST, which should be present on all STM8 boards. (especially those designed by ST ;) )

All this is explained in details in the documentation from Raisonance with the RKit-STM8, and of course in the STM8 docs from ST.

I did some additional analysis on the STM8L after I posted the question and decided it was the best evaluation kit to buy.

I am really a beginner in programming these IC's. I was hoping that the Raisonance company realized that and has some instructions with the kit to help me find my way through all the technical details.

But you are absoutely right about parting with the money before I was sure about the situation.
