Hi All.
I'm try to use my Rlink with ST7LITF10B-20pinDIL device.
I succesfull use Rlink for a simple application with ST7LIT09 then converted on ST7LITEU02.
Using the same hardware wiring on appropriate pin I'm not able to comunicate with device.
This device against the other two, does not have an internal RC oscillator. In PDF ST manual for this device is defined as clock input OSC1 to be feed in from Rlink.
I meter out all connection and are OK.
I try 4 new different device with same results.
Is there any know bug or tricky to be able to communicate with this device?
On Rlink doc's ST7LITE1/ST7LITE3 - DB Schematics seems the clock need to be feeded into PB4.
Can someone post the exact proven working connection RLINK-ST7LITE1XB, I will make on a simple proto-board just to see Rlink comunicate to it.
Best regards Paolo.

Hi,
I suggest you take a look at the schematics of the REva daughterboard for the ST7Lite.
You can find that in the documentation that is installed along with Ride.
There are also two things to care about:
1. On these devices, the clock input can be OSC1 or PB4, depending on the option bytes and connection method. On our board we offer the possibility to choose between these two connections through jumpers.
2. You must feed the ST7 with one and only one clock. That means if you feed the clock from a crystal, you must disconnect the clock from RLink by removing the jumper on the ADP. If there is no crystal on the board, you must connect the clock from RLink. Check that the jumper is plugged.
Best Regards,
Vincent
Hi Vincent.
I did all the trials You suggest and more. Finaly I suspect problem of these devices.
Then I order from RS new devices S7Lite19 similar to the ones I have but 16Dip package and with internal RC oscillator.
I received them today, these ones (5's) works perfectly.I can comunicate with them, write optin byte erase blank check .
I beleve the Lite10 are in some way faulty, I try to feed the clock on OSC1 , or PB4 on both but Rlink is not able to established ICC protocol section. As trial I try also the other small system fron Softhec INDART but the results are the same noICC comnication.
I will c ontinue my project with Lite19 devices.
