Hi,
This is my first project with this version of RKit for STM8 (2.38.11.0251)- everything works fine, compiles sucessfully, etc but when I look for the output file(s) neither the .hex nor .bin are anywhere to be found and even the directory path as stated in the OPTIONS>>Project Properties>>info>>settings path is incomplete. The "setting path" reads \Program Files\Raisonance\Ride\itw\bts2.rapp BUT no such path exists only \Program Files\Raisonance\Ride - no \itw\bts2.rapp.

I did some digging and think I have found a possible cause...under HELP>>About Ride 7>>RKit-Lite It says my STM8 Code Compressor demo period is over and that I need to register - I just installed about 24 hours ago! I did have earlier RKits installed and uninstalled when I worked for ST as a rep so this could be an issue.

Any help will be appreciated!

Hi,

The CodeCompressor is generally not used in projects.
Just perform a full rebuild and your .hex and .bin files should be there.

If you still have the problem, please try with one of the examples provided in the RidE7 "Examples" directory and check whether you still have the problem.

I hope this helps,

Problem solved - the files exist under that wonderful "Compatibilty Mode" feature of Vista and Windows 7. Other IDEs also have directories under /user/App Data/VirtualStore/Program Files but the files always appear using Windows Explorer....for some reason even when I click the "Compatibilty Mode" button on Explorer they only appear one time. Might be an issue with my system.
