I just purchased the REva v2.10 with STR750 daughter board. I am trying to use RIDE to debug the sample quickstart program. The program compiles successfully, but when starting to debug, I get the following error:

OPI Driver
Unable to communicate with target CPU

I believe I have all of the jumper settings correct. The VDD LED is on.

Please help me to troubleshoot this problem.

Thank you.

Hi,

We'll need more information for helping you:

1. What is your Build Number (BN) of RIDE? (click "help"->"About")

2. What version of Windows are you using?

3. Does the BUSY LED of the RLink turn ON and then OFF when you plug RLink?

4. What is your RLink's Serial Number? (open the debug options and click "connect to RLink")

5. Can it read the STR7 IdCode? (open the debug options and click "connect to target")

6. Please try to debug the test example (which is designed to test the debugger): open "C:\RIDE\EXAMPLES\STRX\test.prj", change the target to match your device, launch debug.

Best Regards,

Vincent

Turned out this issue was related to false contact between the daughter board and the mother board. I had to repair some of the pins on the mother board, and everything is working now. I won't be moving these boards anytime soon...

Thanks.

Hi,

I'm glad to hear it works for you now.

However, we are still quite concerned about this problem. What exactly do you mean by "I had to repair some pins on the motherboard"?
Was it the soldering of the SO-DIMM connector or the connector itself that had the problem?
Can you please give me the Serial Number of your RLink? If the connector is defective, we'd like to know which production batch it is from, in order to use another model for the future batches...

Best Regards,

Vincent
