Dear All,

my company has just purchased two Rlink PRO, and we are quite satisfied of them.

Some concern are about the FLASH programming speed, for which I have a question: in the help there is a note stating that JTAG speed is 4000kHz by default, and 400kHz minimum.

In the setup panel I have 400kHz but I cannot change the value, why?

I am using a Reva v2.0 with a STR750 module.

Could you explain in more detail the lenghty operations that takes place during the FLASH programming?

Regards,

Romano

Hi,

The STR750 uses a different clocking mechanism than the other STR7 devices. When using it, you cannot change the JTAG clock speed. But this would not have much impact on programming time anyways, since USB or the flash itself are the bottlenecks for most operations, even at 400KHz.

Best Regards,

Vincent
