Hi,

We are attempting to use the Olimex STR-E912 development board, which has a STR912FW44X6 processor.

The default firmware has the security bit set, and the 'Erase Full Chip now!' operation does not work. I have tried this on RIDE7 and Ride6 (BN747).
'Check connection to target' operation works in both versions.

I have searched the forums and a thread (http://www.raisonance.com/Forum/punbb/viewtopic.php?id=2339) tries to address this issue, but the patch does not work for my setup.

My configuration is as follows:
- Rlink-Pro (firmware 0.0.3; hardware v3.4)
- RIDE7 (IDE version 7.01.0002; RKitARM version 1.03.0004)
- Ride6 (version 06.10.22, BN747-STR7-ARM)
[both IDEs with and without patch]

Any assistance will be appreciated.

regards,
Mykola

Hi,

I looked at the board's schematic, and saw that there is a jumper between the RST and TRST signals. You MUST make sure this jumper is removed. STR9 JTAG cannot work if these two signals are connected. Are they?

What do you mean by "the patch does not work for my setup"? Did you have a problem installing it, or did you manage to install it but the problem persists? You can also download the official patch from our website. (the one you point is a temporary fix) You should have BN747-P1.

Best Regards,

Vincent

Hi Vincent,

Thanks for your assistance. Removing the RST-TRST link fixed the problem.

[Answering your question, the patch did install correctly, but the problem persisted.]

Mykola
