Using the STR712 chip successfully on 1000's of products.
One unit would not write/erase during a production run.
To investigate I tried the erase using RFlasher 7.02.0001
Received the error 'Forbidden boot mode detected'

Can't find this in any documentation what could be the cause?

Thanks Vlad

Hi,

I moved your topic because the STR7 are ARM devices, not ST7. ;)

Our software only handle devices that are configured by the BOOT pins in either RAM or Flash boot modes. All other modes are "'forbidden".

I suggest you check the values of the BOOT0 and BOOT1 pins with a scope and compare them with the values you see on one of the working boards.
Please also check that the reset signal rises to VCC when you power the board and you don't plug the RLink.

Best Regards,

Vincent
