Hi,

You can evaluate the RKit-ARM for up to 7 days for FREE. If you do not register the software in 7 days it will stop functioning.

Registering requires a valide support contract (hardware of support extension purchased less than one year ago).

  1. If you have bought a RLink/REva/Primer in the past year, the support contract is valid and you can activate the new RKit-ARM. In order to help you with this activation, can you please give us the following:

    - Your RLink serial number: From a command prompt type the "rlinkcapab.exe" command, which gives you a report indicating your RLink serial number (for example: dngSTD000012345)

    - A purchase proof that shows us that you have bought your RLink less than 1 year ago.

We will then update the support contract information for your product.[/*]

  2. If your RLink was bought more that 1 year ago, you must renew your support contract. You can purchase a 1-year extension at the Raisonance web site. Buy-on-line links are provided at http://www.mcu-raisonance.com/support_extension.html[/*]
  3. If you do not wish to purchase a support extension, you can install the previous non-supported free software from our internet site at http://www.mcu-raisonance.com/mcu_downloads.html [/*]
Thanks for your understanding,
The Raisonance support team.

Hello;
I am very confused...

1. If i dont buy any hardware like rlink/reva/primer can i buy only new arm-kit software without debugger ?
what is the price of it?

2. If i buy a hardware like reva starter kit will i have new arm kit software with limited debugger?

3. Can i buy reva/primer kits with STM32F103RG MCU?
Do you change MCU?

4. http://www.mcu-raisonance.com/~rkit-arm-enterprise-software-toolset__microcontrollers__product~product__T017:4m8frgg6d5cy.html

If i have new software with buying a hardware what is this high price for only software (1100 euro)?

Regards.

Hi,

You need an up to date support contract to register and use the latest version of RKit-ARM.

All Raisonance hardware tools for ARM include RKit-ARM-Lite software license. All tools benefit from a 1-year support contract after purchase. You need an up to date support contract to register and use the latest version of RKit-ARM.

The following capabilities depend on your hardware:
- RLink Standard, REva, Primers: Unlimited compiling, programming, but debug limited to 64 Kbytes
- RLink-PRO or other tools with PRO upgrade: Unlimited compiling, programming, debugging

You can buy just the RKit-ARM license:
- RKit-ARM-Lite for 99 Euros (contact )
- RKit-ARM-Enterprise for 1100 Euros

RKit-ARM-Enterprise is a new version of the license that activates a number of new features which were requested by users (integration of external tools for tasks like versions, script controls for automating tasks, support of C++ in debug, ...). You can find a list of features here: http://www.mcu-raisonance.com/software_packages_arm.html

We do not have any evaluation board for STM32F103RG, although it is possible to replace the STM32F103RB from a REva daughterboard (the chips are pin compatible).

I hope this helps.
Best Regards,

Hi Bruno;

Now i have two options:
1. Buy only software and pay 1100 euro for new arm kit
2. Buy http://www.mcu-raisonance.com/~reva-stm32-starter-kit__microcontrollers__product~product__T017:4co7l7sc16lz.html
(reva starter kit) pay 199 euro and i will have a programmer and debugger(64k limited) and new arm kit

So why do i choose first option ?
why is the price of it too high ?

Hi,

The software enterprise kit will raise the debug limitation and also give you many more features. (scripts, plugins, SWO if you have an Open4 Primer, etc.) See the Ride7 and RKit-ARM Release notes for more information.

Note that the enterprise kit is only software and is quite useless without a RLink (or REva or Primer).

Note also that you can raise the debug limitation by upgrading your RLink (or REva or Primer) to PRO for less money:
RLink Upgrade for Unlimited Debugging of ARM devices

Choose this option if you need the unlimited debugging but not the advanced GUI features. (scripts, ...)

People usually first purchase the hardware, (Primer, REva or RLink) which gives the Lite version of the software, (debug limited, etc.) and later they decide if they need one of the possible software upgrades.

Best Regards,

Vincent

Hi!

I decided to buy "REva STM32 Starter Kit" and "STM3210xB Daughter Board for REva" ( http://www.mcu-raisonance.com/~reva-stm32-starter-kit__microcontrollers__product~product__T017:4co7l7sc16lz.html )

so when i buy these products can i download and use unlimited programming(not full debugging) with "New RKit-ARM"
"version 1.32.11.0116" ???

(At first step debug limit is enough for me.)

i just need "new armkit compiler" for using with ride7

Best Regards

You are right : Unlimited programming, and 64K-limited debugging will be available.
