Hello,

Does somebody know if the RLink-PRO drives the RESET line both high and low, or does it use an open-collector/open-drain driver? (i.e., does it only pull the line low instead of driving it both high and low) I am asking this because a device on our target already drives the STM32F103's NRST in open-drain mode.

Thanks!
Stephen

Hi,

When connecting to Cortex devices, the RLink drives the NRST line low, but lets the pullup resistors pull it high.
(and the RLink includes 4K7 pullups on all its IOs)
This applies to all RLinks: PRO, STD, REva, Open4, Primers, etc.

So you must make sure that your other components do not tie NRST low during RLink operation. That would prevent programming and debugging from operating correctly.

Best Regards,

Vincent
