Hi All,

We're trying to locate a software vendor that can drive RLink-ST dongle - are there any alternates to ST Microelectronics?

Thanks In Advance

Hi,

Why do you want to avoid PSDSoft and CAPS?
Knowing this would help me answer more precisely to your question.
Anyways, here are some hints...

Only CAPS and PSDSoft are able to merge the PLD/ACR content with the Flash contents.
This means that you will always need one of these two software sometime in your design flow.
However, once you have used one of them to produce an osf file and a jci file, you have other options for the rest of the flow:

You can use RIDE for debugging. And also for programming, but this is for testing during the development phase more than for production. See the AN48 in RIDE for more information.

For production you can use "PSD_pgm.exe", which is installed along with RIDE. It is a command-line programming executable that can easily be called from batch files for production line automatization. Run the exe without argument to see its help and how to use it.

Best Regards,

Vincent
