Hi!
Today I installed Ride7 7.30.10.0159 on my Win7 Pro Notebook.
I tried to debug my application on th EM6819 with the RLink Pro, but I only can program but not debug it.
When trying to debug ride says:
"failure reading stack"

And then:
"No response from Target CPU"

After deselecting "Debug after programming" it programs fine.

The same Project debugs without problems on a WinXP-32 PC.
Can you please help me?

Best regards
chosn

Hi, We would like to help you as quickly as possible on this issue, but we need to have more information about the problem before we can help further. In order to understand the issue you are facing, we need the following information about your configuration: - Version of Windows: At a command prompt type the following command: "systeminfo.exe", which gives you a system report. We need the full "Operating System" and "Version" from the report. - Version of Ride7 and RKit that you are using. You can get these from the Ride7 "Help | About" dialog box. Please check from the Raisonance downloads page at (Click on Product Downloads in the menu) that you are using the latest version of the tools. Concerning your particular problem: - Provide the steps you followed to raise the error. - The precise error message you received, and which tool produced it. If possible, a screenshot of the message (using the PrtScr keyboard key) is helpful. - Does the problem occur when using the examples given with Ride7 (from the Ride7 installation directory, default being "C:\Program Files\Raisonance\Ride\Examples\")? You may encounter a specific issue related to 64-bit Windows. If you have a 64-bit system, just read this   http://forum.raisonance.com/viewtopic.php?id=3080   that decribes the problem and its solution. Another known issue is about some Windows versions that do not have the script engine properly registered. You can check this from   http://forum.raisonance.com/viewtopic.php?id=3296.    Please let us know when the problem has been solved satisfactorily. Regards, The Raisonance support team.

Here are the Infos:

Betriebssystemname: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional
Betriebssystemversion: 6.1.7600 Nicht zutreffend Build 7600

Ride7: 7.30.10.0159
RKit-C816 for Ride7: 1.04.10.0306
Ride7 Patch: 7.30.10.0169

Debugger: RLink Pro with FW Version 0.0.3

Installation Path: C:\EM6819\Raisonance\Ride

regsvr32 C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-scripting-msscript_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_90381958050e76f8\msscript.ocx

was successful!

I opened the same project which worked on my X86 machine.
Now after Debug/Start Ride compiles, and starts programming NVM...
But then it tells me:
RDI Driver Error (26): failure reading stack.

After ok it says:
OPI Driver Error (5): No response from target CPU.

Sorry, cannot import screenshots here.

Same errors occur also when i try to debug the three examples in Examples\C816\EM6819 Folder

chosn

I did uninstall Ride7+ RKit-C816 with the USB Dongle unplugged.
After a restart I reinstalled the software package.
But debugging is still not working.

It would be nice, if you could help me "as quickly as possible".

Hi,

I could debug the EM6819 on Win7 using the same version you are using. I had some problems installing the compiler, but after fixing this there were no issues with debugging. I will need more information for helping you...

Is your PC's CPU 32 or 64-bits?
Is your Windows 32 or 64-bits?
Did you get any error message during installation of the RKit-C816?
Do you manage to recompile the project under Win7?
If yes, is the result of the compilation is the same on both PCs? (compare the two hex files)
If no, what error message do you receive when trying to recompile in Win7?

Best Regards,

Vincent

the monitor library is not linked because it uses the wrong startup. So debugging cannot work on this project, regardless of the version of the software, RLink, registration, etc.
