hi,

i have a question about the reset of my RLink debug tool.

Is the RST PIN normaly high and ties it to GND if it is activated?

Hi,

I assume you are refering to a SPC56 device...

Indeed the RST is active low.
When you plug the RLink it will leave it high. (it includes a weak 4K7 pullup resistor)

Then when you ask the software to drive the RLink for communicating with the SPC, the RLink will drive the RST signal, sometimes low, sometimes high. If it is not able to do so (not connected or interferences from other component), then the communication might (will probably) fail at some point.

Best Regards,

Vincent
