in Ride6, when a project has multiple applications, each with their own local settings, it's easy to unintentionally erase the local options for an application. In the project window 'right-click->Tool Option->local options' and 'right-click->Tool options->project options' are right beside each other. The latter selection erases the local option for an application. It's easy to accidentally select this when you meant to select the former. Too late!, your settings are gone. I've done this a couple of times.

If the menus are still structured this way in Ride7, I suggest adding 'Are you sure?' to the 'revert to global options'
