Hi friends.
I successfully made little programs on STR912FW44 to test UART, GPIOs, whatever... everyone running from flash with basic RIDE project settings and basic 91x_conf.h
Ok.

I tryed to comment the line #define DEBUG on 91X_conf.h, disable debug symbols on the compiler options, and disable debug mode when dowloading the hex to the ARM flash.
After uploading the program to flash... nothing. No sign of life.

I'm missing something.

I tracked some commens from the use 'Lionel' regarding this DEBUG symbol...
I even changed my 91X_conf.h to reflect his hints, but no way to put this thing to work.

By the way, I'm using RIDE 06.10.22 (Build: BN744-ST7-ARM-80C51) and ARM Toolchain 1.1.15.

Any additional hint ? Should I change from RIDE to RIDE7 ?
Should I change to WinARM / Programmers Notepad / CAPS ?
Thanks for the attention

We corrected some reset issues on ARM devices more recently. I strongly recommend that you update your software kit. You can go here to get the latest version :

http://www.raisonance.com/download/index.php?active=RIDE6

If the downloaded version is not BN747-P1-P2 but only BN747, then you will need the patch P2 (it includes the patch P1) available here :

Hi Lionel,
Thanks for the answer.
I upgraded to release 747 p1 p2 as you mentioned and the procedure worked very well.
Should I upgrade to RIDE 7 anyways ?
Thanks for the help.

Yes you can try Ride7 as well, the choice is up to you. But I recommend waiting a few days because a new release is coming, with lots of bugfixes.
