Hello All,

I have been looking into the usb software and demos that STM has released to see how
difficult it would be to implement a usb interface on the instruments i am working on.

Since using a serial port would be the easiest for us ( no changes required to our windows software)
i tried the virtual com port project in the STM demos.

When i loaded this into Ride 7 (version 7.22.09.0203) i had problems with searching for text with
the 'find in files'.
when i entered my search text and pressed the 'find all' button Ridet briefly showed it was searching
(i gues, it was so quick i could not read the message) and did not find any files.
Only when i selected the top line in the project tree Ride would start searching but then it searched
my whole harddisk for .c and .h files and found some 14000 files to look into and this took quit some time.

Ride would only search in the project directories when i manualy selected the source directory in the
'look in' list.

In other projects the search worked ok so it seems that Ride get's confused by the way this project
is build , they used several folders to seperate the different source files.

It's not a big problem now i know what happens but i thought you might want to know about it.

Regards,

Ed van Rijn

PS

compile speed it still fast !!.
