Hello I´m new here and I am learning to use Ride and Rkit and I would like to know if there is more complete Ride7 manual than the "getting started" pdf and where can I find it, thank you very much!! |
Hi
All documentation given with install are placed in c:\program files\raisonance\ride\doc
These file are also referenced in Ride7 documentation explorer.
When you open a project for a specfic target te documentation is pointed regarding the target.
In addition you have also online resouces.
So to sum up:
- About Ride7 .html in c:\program files\raisonance\ride\doc
- A getting started with the pecific target
- FAQ section on the website
- Specific target documentation http://www.mcu-raisonance.com/ride7faq.html
- Posts on this forum

ok thank you!
but why can´t I see it in Ride7, the help browser doesn´t work very well on my pc I only can go to two pages "Welcome to Ride7" and "Ride7 for ST7" maybe it is because I am using STM8? and finally I have found how it is supposed to work the trace simulation but in the debugger the properties menu doesn´t show "trace execution", it is also because I´m using STM8?
Thank you for the support!
Please try to open an example project for STM8 in Ride\examples directory and check the documentation panel and its content. If this does not seem to work please send us an email with the details of your installed versions and you Windows OS to find out what is going wrong.
Concerning the trace feature, you can access the trace feature during the simulation process using the command View|Debug Windows|View Trace

Is not the documentation panel, it works fine and I like it very much, is the help window. I´ve been seeing the downloaded files in the "c:\program files\raisonance\ride" and seems to me that in this window I am supossed to see a lot of help issues but I only see two: "Welcome to Ride7" and "Ride7 for ST7". Maybe it works like that but is strange for me.
Concerning the trace I have failed understanding, I think it was in simulator mode but not necessarily during simulation, sorry, my fault.
Sorry for my english and thank you very much!
Clicking the PDF links in documentation panel launches Acrobat Reader to open the corresponding PDF file. If it fails doing this, maybe there is something wrong with the association between PDF files and Acrobat Reader, or something wrong with the installation of Acrobat Reader on your computer.
