Hi everyone,
I bought RLink Standard and want to install a RIDE+RKIT-ARM on a few PCs (laptop, desktop). I have read licence agreement and searched through raisonance web page, but I couldn't find any information about this topic.
Is this possible and legal to activate RIDE+RKIT-ARM on more than one PC using only one RLink programmer? OR should I buy another RLink for a second computer?

Hi,

Yes you can activate several instances of RKit-ARM with the same RLink.

Depending on the date of _production_ of your RLink, the activation process will be either automatic (SN>18000) or manual.

Depending on the date of _purchase_ of your RLink, the activation process will be either free of charge (purchased less than one year ago) or 50€ (only one time for as many PCs as you want).

Note that due to distribution considerations, there can be a big difference between the production and purchase dates.

See the GettingStartedARM document for more information about all this.

If you have problems contact and give your RLink's SN and proof of purchase.

Best Regards,

Vincent

Thanks for your answer.
I read once more this manual, and i have another question.
Manual says that when the warranty period was over, I would not be able to activate RKit-ARM. It this means that I wont be able to activate currently used version of RKit-ARM or new version of RKit-ARM released after warranty period?

Hi,

When the support is over (one year after the purchase), you cannot activate any version released after the support contract expiration date. Versions activated previously remain activated and usable. If you have a problem and need to reinstall, you can continue to install, activate and use the last version installed under a support contract, or the version from 2010 that was the last release prior to the new registration mechanism (that version does not need to be activated). But there is no support for this old, obsolete version.

More importantly if you need assistance from Raisonance, or software updates for new devices, software corrections and new features, you must have a support contract. So when your support expires, what you should do is purchase the one year support extension, which is really not expensive. (~50€ per year for any number of RLinks)

Best Regards,

Vincent
