Hi

I made the mistake and installed Ride7 and RKit51 using the default settings... This resulted in problems in the IDE when building 'FATAL ERROR #14 ON INVOCATION-LINE : ')' EXPECTED'. I read that this was related to the installation directory on 64 bit systems containing paranthesis.

So I uninstalled both Ride and RKit51 and tried to re-install with installation directory 'c:\Raisonance'. This didn't work, no matter what directory I put as installation directory it will still install in the default 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Raisonance'.

What can I do to make the IDE and the assembler work?

/Fredrik

It's strange, because it works fine here. Are you sure you are using the latest versions of Ride7 and RKit-51?

If yes, I suggest you try to uninstall everything, then remove this registry key and all its sub-keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RAISONANCE

I hope it helps.

Hi, In fact I could reproduce your problem, and I'm confident that the removing of the registry will workaround it. (it did on my PCs that showed the problem) We will solve it and make a new release of the software. You can follow the bug status for Issue 3657 in the support pages of this site. Thanks for the report. Best Regards, Vincent

Hi,

I have the same problem, I deleted what you said but the problem still exist - default folder of Ride installation is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Raisonance\Ride", I can change it when I install Ride7 but can't during Rkits (ARM and STM8) installation.

Wojtek

Hi,

Wojtek, what you describe looks like a bug in older versions, which has been fixed now.

Please make sure you are using the latest versions of both Ride and RKit-xxx.

If the problem persists please tell us precisely which RKit(s) you are using.

Best Regards,

Vincent

Hi,

I have downloaded today Ride and Rkits from official page so I think it is the newest version. Versions: RKit-STM8 2.44.12.0199, Ride 7.40.12.0145, RKit-ARM 1.42.12.0174.

I solved problem using regedt then removing HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RAISONANCE, but it wasn't enough, I could install Ride and Rkits properly (C/Raisonance default folder) after searching "Ride" in regedt and deleting all (about 5) which I could.

Best Regards,
Wojtek
