Hello.

I am using Ride 7 ver 7.60.15 with RKit ARM 1.62.15. In 95% of cases I have massage that blank check return error. It such cases I have to erase flash manually by Properties and RLink Configuration.

Any idea why?

Best regards

Jakub

Hello,

Thank you for using our tools and for reporting the problem.

Could you please tell us which target MCU you are programming (e.g STM32F103RBT6) and which MCU you have selected in the project options (e.g. STM32F103xB)?

Please also tell us which debugger/programmer you are using? (RLink, Open4, STLink, ...)

Does it always work when you erase manually?

Finally, Erase errors might be related to power supply, because erase is one of the operations during which the MCU uses more power... How do you power your target MCU? (what type of supply and what voltage) Are you sure it is strong enough?

Best Regards,

Vincent

Hello,

Thank you for answer.

The MSU is STM32F103RET6 and this device is selected in project options:

I am using RLink as debbuger.

Yes, manually it is working in 100% cases.

Device is supply via 2W DC/DC converter and linear stabilizer.

I did not have such problem in previous version of Ride and RKit-ARM.

Best regards

Jakub

Hello,

Thanks for the information.

Could you please try to select the STM32F103xE device in the software? (instead of the STM32F103RET6)

If that does not solve the issue, we will please need some more information...

Which versions of Ride and RKit-ARM were you using before?

In which process does the message appear? (when starting Debug in Ride?) (when launching the Auto Mode in RFlasher?)

Which actions are selected? (Erase? Program? Debug?)

How did you set the Config (Option Bytes) options? (Restore Default? Program? Program From File?)

Best Regards,

Vincent

Hello,

I have changed to STM32F103xE and no success.

I changed versions during last few years and this problem starts with last version.

This happen during Debug process in Ride. RFlasher works fine.

Actions and Options byte are below.

Best regards

Hello,

Thanks for the information.

I installed the same versions and plugged the same CPU as you but I still don"t manage to reproduce your problem. ;(

However, it does sound a little like another problem, on another device, that we corrected a few weeks ago. It was related to Option Bytes...

Could you please try to select "Restore Default" for the Option Bytes?

If that does not work, please also try "Write from File".

Best Regards,

Vincent

Hello,

Unfortunately none of these options works.  I will check with another device with the same MCU.

I will answer shortly.

Best regards
