Hello, I just followed the steps for downloading and installing Ride7 (7.70.19.0218) followed by RKit-ARM for Ride7 (1.74.23.0173 RC01). Installation on my PC is completed without any problems, but when I start Ride7, I get an about box popping up (see picture). Here I have only three choices: - clicking on the cross in the title bar of the about box, which results in clising Ride7 right away. - clicking on the Exit button, which has the same effect. - clicking on the Change License button, which pops up a dialog to activate my RKit (Serial Activation, Dongle Activation or RLink Activation) However, I understood that Ride7 is free as is RKit-ARM (unless one purchases an ENterprise license). My question: are Ride7 and RKit-ARM really free or do I need a license? If they are free, why does this blocking dialog pop up? Best regards, Arthur |
Hi,
There appears to be a bug in the license mechanism here.
The license show the Lite license (unlimited compile and device programming and debugging upto 1/2 the Flash size of your MCU to a maximum size of 64 KBytes) is activated.
Lite is the free license for RKit-ARM. I am checking with my colleagues regarding the problem you are seeing here.
As a workaround, please send me the following information by email and we will try to do the activation to see if that solves the problem:
Tools: RKit-ARM 1.74.23.0173
Serial Number or Serial Key:
Site Code:
MID Code:

Thank you.
