Hello,

I have an STR710FZ276 project dating from 2007 that I need to program into a set of production boards. (Yes really - the joy of supporting older products).

I have purchased an RLink, and I have downloaded and installed the latest version of Ride and Rkit-ARM.

Ride:  7.70.19.0218

Rkit-ARM: 1.74.23.0173 RC01

When I run Rflasher7  and File - Open - Project, then select "Ride 6 projects *.prj" and select the project file, I get the error message, "corrupted file, unable to read".  I can examine the prj file with a text editor - it appears OK.  Here are the first handful of lines from the PRJ file:

RIDE Project File
File Version=3
[BN]
Build=BN746-ST7-ARM-80C51-P1-P2
[Ref]
Ref=11
[Type]
Type=3
[Environment]
Begin Group CompEdit
EditCodeCoverage=0
TestMakeDate=1
Promptrebuild=0
DebugMessage=1000
Promptdirtyoptions=0
Prompttoreloadfiles=0
Promptsucsorfail=0
Promptenddebug=1
Promptsave=0
End Group CompEdit
Begin Group Edit
DocExts=*.pdf;*.htm;*.doc
DocInChild=1
InsertSpace=0
Showinfo=1

Etc

It appears the latest version of software does not support such an old project.

Looking on the Raisonance website, the oldest version of Ride I can see is still Ride 7.  Version 7.30.10.0169.  The listed older versions of Rkit-ARM are newer than that, however when I try to download them, they terminate as zero byte downloads. And there's a link to a support email at the end of the list, so it appears this is intended.

Can somebody please point me to an appropriate version of Rflasher that will accept my old project?  I am happy to provide the project files in a PM (just don't want to post them in a public forum).

Many thanks.

Frank.

Hello,

Are you sure that your project is a RFlasher project? (for programming)

If it is a Ride project (for compiling), you need to open it in Ride, not in RFlasher.

Do you want to recompile the code or just flash the memory image that was compiled several years ago?

Along with the project, do you have some .c and .h files, or do you have a .hex file?

You can send files to me at

I will check the downloads...

Best Regards,

Vincent

Hi Vincent. Did you receive the files I emailed? Any thoughts on a suitable version of Rflasher?

Many thanks.

Frank.
