Very often I end a debug session to make aslight change, then when I enter debug mode again, all my watch variables are gone. Is there a way to make them persist between sessions? Also, when I hover over a variable, the "tooltip" pops up for just a brief second, then disappears. Bug for just me? |
Hi,
Can you give us the Ride7 and RKit versions you are using (from Help | About box)?
This will help characterizing the problem.
Both problems should not happen if you are using a recent version.
Best Regards,
Ride7
7.30.10.0159
RKit
2.32.10.0307
I'm the same person with the registration problem too, related in some way??
Win7 64-bit
installed to C:\Raisonance
I also have the patch:
7.30.10.0169
Probably going to be programming again next week, any update as to my problem?
Figured out what's wrong, it's something with my machine. Both my personal laptop (different brand) and a coworkers laptop (same model as mine) work fine. I'd be willing to bet the registration will work on a different machine too! So IT is getting me a different machine, this one's spooked!
OK, it was working on my new machine when I first installed Ride/RKit. Then I did some other things, came back to Ride few weeks later, now no longer working. I was going to try to be careful to test Ride after each install of new software but I was in a rush.
But if I open the Towers example project, the watch variables persist. In my project, they don't. And yes, I did uninstall with batch file and reinstall. Any ideas? Is there a conflict with something I installed?
Kraig,
You may have a problem where corrupted information has been kept by Ride7, which messes things up in your debug session.
Can you try to remove the "%APPDATA%\Ride7\" directory? This could clean things up.
Let us know if things get back to work.
Best Regards,
Crud, didn't work. After deleting that folder and restarting Ride, enter debug, adding a watch variable, exiting degub, reentering dedub, watch window is empty.
Kraig,
Does the problem happen when you are using one of the Ride7-provided examples ?
It works fine with the examples. Also, with my project it does not work with either the simulator or Rlink.
So any idea as to why my project has this behavior? When I get some time, I was going to break down my project and see if it ever works and what causes it to break. But if you have any ideas...
I have the similar problem. It showed the variables persistently before. Then I accidentally touched a key(couldn't remember which one) and it stopped showing the variables persistently. But my other projects still working. I feel it is the setting, but don't know how to set it up.
Hello,
Can you provide the Ride7 and Rkit version you are using?
Best regards,
Ride7:7.36.11
Rkit-ARM: 1.36.11
Hello,
These versions are very old and a lot of bugs have been fixed since.
I suggest you to install the latest version of Rkit-ARM and Ride7 you can find on our new extranet page at:
